Hufft & Hufft, APLC is a boutique husband-and-wife plaintiff law firm grounded in personal service, humility, and a genuine commitment to the people of Louisiana. Founded in 2001, the firm has built its reputation through decades of hard work, careful preparation, and real results for injured clients and their families.
The firm's roots run deep in Louisiana's legal tradition. Patrick Hufft's father, Judge Preston Hufft of Plaquemines Parish, shaped the family's early understanding of justice, responsibility, and service to the community — values that remain at the heart of the practice today.
The next generation has followed. The Huffts' three children have recently passed the bar and are now working attorneys, carrying the family's commitment to the law into a new chapter of the firm's history.
Our office is located in the heart of New Orleans' Central Business District, inside the historic Lambert-Gallier Inn at 635 St. Charles Avenue — a landmark building dating to the 1800s that reflects the city's character and the firm's longstanding ties to the community.
The Attorneys
Pat Hufft comes from a family with a deep tradition of public service and the law. His father, Judge Preston Hufft, served in Plaquemines Parish — shaping Pat's early understanding of justice, responsibility, and what it means to serve others. Over more than three decades of practice, Pat has carried those values into every case he handles, with a particular focus in the fields of maritime, medical malpractice, premise liability, and truck/auto accidents.
Clients know him as a thoughtful and hardworking attorney who listens closely, speaks plainly, and works diligently to protect their interests. His legal experience is matched by a genuine concern for the people who walk through the firm's doors.
Susan Hufft brings a distinctive background to plaintiff law — combining her undergraduate training in communication with more than 35 years of legal experience. Her ability to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and connect with clients has been central to the firm's approach since its founding.
Together with Patrick, Susan has built a practice grounded in trust, personal attention, and a commitment to obtaining the best result for each client. She is known for her thoroughness, her warmth, and her dedication to Louisiana families. She is a relentless advocate for her clients in the field of truck/auto accidents, maritime personal injury, employment law, and workplace injuries.
